Dr. Arya is a consultant orthopedic surgeon in the Kings College Hospital, London. He specializes in upper limb pathologies with a special interest in elbow conditions. He is the foremost elbow surgeon in Kings College Hospital and is a fellow of Royal College of Surgeons, England. He is also the regional representative of London in British Elbow & Shoulder Society and is actively involved in several other organizations related to his specialty. Dr. Arya has worked extensively with Prof P. K. Sethi on modifying the Jaipur Foot.

He is the President of Indian Orthopedic Society, UK, an organization of more than 400  Orthopaedic surgeons of Indian origin, settled and working in the UK.
